Géraldine Vilaséca Regnault

It is after a long gestation as a child that the first sculpture of this series came into the world. Its shape and its name "zazen" imposed themselves in a repetitive and sonorous way. The zazen series is developing rapidly, like a writing, expressing deep and varied feelings. The structural and round form of "zazen" is undoubtedly at the confluence of many influences, both artistic and ethnic. His name means sitting posture of Buddha meditation. In appropriating this name, I insist on the fact that my sculpture is the simple expression of my inner creative vibration, an intimate connection of being in relation with the world, with my environment but also with intrinsic filiation. Brute, mystical, symbolic, my sculpture must call to the interrogation of oneself, of others, of the world ...
